OMG! I got a Job!!!

I got a phone call this morning saying that I’ve got a job! My first job since I left Nandos 4 years ago, the first job that relates to my qualifications!!! It’s a GIS job, which I’ll start tomorrow. So happy, so thrilled!!! It is a sub-contract job for six weeks (sorry, I was typing too fast before) at a water company in Melbourne. I am so happy!!!

So I guess the interview went well. I prepared all my interview questions and answers and looked up the company that I was being interviewed for. My answer for the teamwork question was not as good as I hoped, but I thought that I was relaxed in the interview and spoke clearly.

This is what happens when I am anxious..

I can’t answer things properly!!!

The only thing I could answer properly in the interview was the definition of GIS and what I did for my thesis. The teamwork and the goal questions sucked!!! I kept blabbering on about Outward Bound for some reason.

So well. What can I do? Back to full time job searching I guess…

What if the earth had 100 people??

This video makes all of us guilty…

Wrong wrong wrong!

The Japanese health minister labelled women 15-50 as birth machines! How sexist can he be? We have the right to choose not to have children. With rising living standards into the 21st century, we can’t afford to have kids unless we are financially capable of getting ourselves food, shelter and basic necessities or find a partner who can afford to provide basic things. Doesn’t he understand the difficulties involved in rasing a child? Feeding an extra person in the family and spending time with them, let alone giving them good education is a big matter!

This is just wrong!
