As usual, I am just slacking off today, after days of essay writing..

I think I am addicted to Orkut!.

Uni: This week is pretty boring for me as I am trying to finish an essay about environmental policy and management before Friday (although it is due on 12th May). I figured that I always go over the work limit, no matter what I do, which frustrates me a lot! In addition, this is my least favourite subject, which even makes it worse. I am getting a bit of stress lately, due to the fact I have a dozen more work to get done for the next month. The lectures now do bore me a bit because the topics aren’t interesting and I slept in a lot of lectures this week..

Other: On Monday, I got a tent, because I will go camping again this weekend as part of a field trip for another subject. This time, I am going to Lake Eildon, which is north east of Melbourne. Hopefully this will be interesting. For the moment, I set the tent up in my backyard just to test if it leaks. …Hmm.. it seems that the cat wants to get in….

Wonderland in Sydney will close tomorrow after 18 years of fun… I remembered it was my first trip to a themepark interstate. I went there once in 1994 and another visit in 1998. My favourite was the splash water-ride (i don’t know if it is correct name) and we had to wait for at least half an hour for the ride. It was a fun memory.. But now that Wonderland is going to close, I have nothing to say, but to feel disappointed…

So, this is what I did today > spending endless hours doing an essay in a cold room. I got a third of it done, which was good and all I have to do is to do another two-thirds of it within the next two weeks.

When I procrastinate (despite the fact my essay is due in 3 weeks), I find other ways to entertain and hence distract myself. I have been keeping used metcards every since last year. Some of the designs look good, which others look ugly
The ones at the top left are the earliest designs (probably issued in July, 1998) and the lastest designs down the bottom (the original version of the blue generic design, with the handy hints and the changed logo - metlink).
